Interior of a modern school in Novoseliye

Year: 2025

Client: TREST

A new residential district is taking shape in Novoseliye, Leningrad Region. The developer commissioned Designic to create the interiors for one of the schools. The team was given an ambitious and inspiring brief: to design a contemporary environment that supports learning, sparks curiosity, and sets a new benchmark for public spaces.

At the core of the project is a deep understanding of students’ needs, developed in collaboration with experts in child psychology and education. The team carefully mapped out how the space would be used, planning zoning, circulation routes, and the relationship between different functional areas.

The school building is designed in a radial layout, with a central atrium from which a series of themed wings extend, each with its own focus. Primary, middle, and high school sections are clearly separated. There is a large sports complex featuring a swimming pool, volleyball and basketball courts, and a climbing wall, as well as a library with dedicated spaced for independent study.

The design also includes a range of specialized classrooms, laboratories, and creative studios, all fully equipped to support both engaging lessons and extracurricular activities. Among the more distinctive features are a fab lab, arecording studio, and a culinary studio.
