An open space office design for Metso Outotec, a company created through a merger, is among the most striking ones in our portfolio. We were entrusted with making a space that would be comfortable for employees coming from different corporate cultures.
Key features of that open space is plenty of bright colors (red, green, purple), lineart pieces and designer furniture. By the entrance, there is an unorthodox black stone reception desk. The customer preferred that design to more traditional solutions because it emphasizes the “masculine” nature of their company, a global leader in comprehensive solutions and services for natural resources processing and metalworks industries. The striking shape of the desk is a callback to ore and minerals.
The open space was designed in accordance with the single Metso&Outotec corporate brand book that envisions lots of bold design choices. We made use of trademark gradients, the decagon shape, beveled angles and color solutions. Experts appreciated our work, as the project won the Best Office Awards SPb in the Space Layout category in 2022.
